In May 2025, Dr. Ashika Skeele traveled to Kenya with Friends of TERJA, including Jan Alston, Loretta Statan, and Lydia Abebe, to support the reusable sanitary pad project and literacy initiatives.
Activities included:
- Visits to Lubinu Girls High School (speeches, supplies, encouragement)
- Meetings with scholarship recipients
- Celebrations of storytelling, sewing, and literacy progress at Namasanda
In July 2025, Reagan Kearns, supported by Natalie and Avery Ingutia, traveled to Kenya:
- Delivered four sewing machines
- Engaged deeply with the community
- Began work on a documentary highlighting village resilience and TERJA’s impact
